No-signup calculators cover bookkeeping cost, catch-up cleanup, S-corp savings, quarterly taxes and restaurant prime cost

GREENVILLE, S.C. - SCaroNews -- GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 18, 2026 — Tides Bookkeeping, a remote bookkeeping firm based in Greenville, South Carolina, has launched six free financial tools for small-business owners at tidesbookkeeping.com/tools. The five calculators show a result right on the page, with no signup or email required.

Owners often have to guess what bookkeeping will cost, or how much it will take to get caught up, before they talk to anyone. Many bookkeeping calculators online ask for an email address before they show a number.

"Most owners I talk to want a straight number before they get on a call, and most bookkeeping calculators won't give them one without an email first," said Dan Cope, founder of Tides Bookkeeping. "These tools use our real published pricing, so an owner can see what it costs, decide whether it's worth it, and reach out only if they want to."

The six tools are:
  • Bookkeeping Cost Calculator: estimates monthly bookkeeping cost from expense volume, using Tides' published 2026 pricing.
  • Catch-Up Cost Estimator: estimates the cost and time to bring books current, based on months behind and transaction volume.
  • Bookkeeping Health Check: a two-minute quiz that scores the state of a company's books.
  • S-Corp Savings Calculator: estimates the self-employment tax an S-corp election could save, from profit and a reasonable salary.
  • Quarterly Estimated Tax Calculator: estimates a self-employed owner's federal quarterly payment from expected profit and filing status.
  • Prime Cost Calculator: for restaurants and bars, shows prime cost percentage, the food and labor split, and what one point of prime cost is worth over a year.

The first tools went live in July 2026, and the Prime Cost Calculator was added on Sept. 15. The tax calculators give estimates based on federal figures and are not tax advice. Owners who want a firm quote can book a free 15-minute call.
