Widely respected across the profession, SECO International plays a vital role in delivering continuing education and driving innovation within the field.
Dr. Lori Roberts-Hauser (https://www.aikeneyecare.com/about), a graduate of InterAmerican University, has been elected Secretary of the SECO International Board of Trustees. She is the owner of Aiken Eye Care Center (https://www.aikeneyecare.com), where she provides comprehensive optometric services with a focus on patient-centered care and community impact. Dr. Melissa Wood, a graduate of Southern College of Optometry has been elected to serve as a Trustee on the Board. She practices at Palmetto Eye & Laser Center (https://www.palmettoeyeandlaser.com) and brings extensive clinical experience in primary eye care, with a strong emphasis on long-term patient relationships and quality outcomes.

Both Dr. Roberts-Hauser and Dr. Wood served as Past Presidents of SCOPA, and have a long-standing commitment to advancing Doctors of Optometry and overall vision care in communities across South Carolina. In addition to their clinical work, they have each played an active role in professional advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement. Their appointments reflect not only their dedication to clinical excellence and advancement but also their continued efforts to strengthen and grow the field of Optometry at both the state and national levels.
