MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - SCaroNews -- Living Water Mental Health BRAIN Treatment Center, a South Carolina-based 501(c)(3), is excited to announce its facility at 1086 London Street, STE B, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, with the official opening date to be revealed soon. We are dedicated to providing FDA-cleared, drug-free, rapid-acting mental health treatments to those in need.

Our location will offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and PRISM Neuromodulation, both non-invasive and drug-free therapies. TMS has been clinically proven to effectively treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and bipolar depression. PRISM Neuromodulation is designed to alleviate symptoms of chronic PTSD.

Founder & Executive Director Ben Greenzweig, a proud Horry County resident, shared, "I'm grateful for the opportunity to offer these breakthrough mental health treatments to the Myrtle Beach community I hold dear. Our mission is to bring hope and healing to those in need, and this new location allows us to reach more individuals seeking compassionate mental health treatments."

Greenzweig emphasized the significance of TMS, which was first researched and developed at MUSC Charleston in the 1980s. He noted, "With all technology, rapid improvement comes over time, enabling this treatment to become increasingly effective, including driving remission, which is our ultimate goal."

Remarkably, up to 79% of patients with treatment-resistant depression experience full remission of symptoms after an accelerated course of TMS treatment. The outcomes for other mood disorders, including anxiety, OCD, and PTSD, are also promising.

Our Medical Advisor, Dr. Owen Scott Muir, a dual board-certified child and general psychiatrist and a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, has overseen thousands of TMS treatments. Dr. Muir runs a TMS-focused mental health clinic in New York City and serves as Medical Advisor for a TMS clinic in Silicon Valley, CA. He has authored numerous academic publications and a popular press book, Inessential Pharmacology. His friendship with Greenzweig led to the creation of Living Water, bringing these breakthrough treatments to Horry County and surrounding areas.

"I was incredibly touched by Ben's determination to alleviate the suffering of his neighbors," said Dr. Muir, who underwent TMS treatment himself for bipolar disorder. "TMS is a game-changer for a variety of mental health disorders. The fact that it can be done rapidly, without drugs and long-term side effects, makes it a highly effective option for many. Our goal is remission."

Engaging with diverse communities in Horry County and beyond, Living Water aims to foster meaningful conversations about mental health, eradicate stigma, and encourage the pursuit of effective treatments without shame.
