BLUFFTON, S.C. - SCaroNews -- Libraries for Kids, Int'l has funded five more 40-foot shipping containers filled with books for children in Kenya, Africa. The containers are being loaded now and are scheduled to set sail by mid-August.

The latest shipment was made possible by the support of their annual Libraries for Kids World Book Day fundraiser that is always held the last Saturday in April in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Every dollar raised during this yearly event directly funds their program to create access to books by establishing reference libraries in rural primary schools in Africa. They have created almost 10,000 libraries in under six years.
Libraries for Kids, Int'l believes that books can open doors for children and give them a chance to learn and dream big. The organization thanks everyone who has helped make this possible and looks forward to sharing more success stories as these books get delivered in Africa.
