Inspired by Trump-era crypto and DOGE, the satire lets players chase wealth while collective choices determine whether anyone survives economic collapse.
CHARLESTON, S.C. - SCaroNews -- An internet joke becomes a coin. A billionaire promotes it, buys a platform and secures political influence. Everyone else has to make a living in the resulting economy.
That's the premise of PIDG: Predictive Intelligence & Data Governance, a new board game inspired by meme coins, Trump-era politics, DOGE and promises of an AI-powered future.
Created by Charleston designer Jessica Stapleton, PIDG follows a fictional pigeon meme that becomes a currency and an economic empire—echoing the real-world trajectory from Doge meme to cryptocurrency to the name adopted for the Department of Government Efficiency.
"It appears that the joke is running the system," Stapleton writes in the game's origin story. "I don't think that's a good idea. So I built PIDG."

Players build side hustles, buy businesses and sabotage opponents while market headlines reshape their prospects. An Autonomous Agent earns income without burning out—and can be stolen.
The game can end in individual victory, Economic Collapse or AI Utopia. If collapse arrives, wealth alone won't save anyone: the table must have invested enough in collective virtue for a winner to emerge. AI Utopia offers a shared victory, with the same requirement.
PIDG is published by Vacant Lot Creative LLC for 2–5 players ages 14+, with a playing time of 30–60 minutes. Preorders are $65 at https://www.pidggame.com.
